How to Disable RSS Feeds

Feeds are enabled by default in every WordPress Blog/Website. Unfortunately there isn’t an option in WordPress to disable Atom or RSS feeds therefore we need to enable a workaround.

We could delete or modify certain of the core WordPress files to remove the feed but this isn’t ideal and many non-technical people will be uncomfortable with amending or deleting PHP files.

The simplest means of disabling RSS/Atom feeds is to install and configure a Plugin such as Disabler by Ipstenu.
