5 Rotary Clubs using WordPress Websites
WordPress is an exceptional good choice for clubs. Besides the very low cost of ownership and reliability of WordPress, the software is ideal for communicating to groups of people. Here then are a few Rotary Clubs that use WordPress to power their Websites.
Rotary Club of Kahala Sunrise
O.k. I’m a bit biased by including the Website of the Rotary Club of Kahala Sunrise first on the list. This Hawaiian Rotary WordPress Website was installed and configured by me with the great design by Evelyne of ematti. A customized version of the WP Suffusion Theme is used to create the ‘look and feel’ of the Site.
Functionality includes all kinds of special stuff such as a members directory, membership content and areas, event bookings and calendars and much more.
Berwick Rotary Club
The Website of the Berwick Rotary Club is simple in design but is very effective at providing information to stakeholders. The Website uses the Coraline Theme by Automattic (the people who run WordPress) and makes good use of Page/Post areas as well as widget areas.
Rotary Club of St. Petersburg Sunset
This is a good Club Website that has a lot of clever functionality and means of communicating with it’s audience such as frequent blogging, a Paypal donation widget and Facebook integration. The Rotary Club of St. Petersburg Sunset is doing a great job with their WordPress Site.
The Rotary Club of Broome
Quite a number of Australian Rotary Clubs use WordPress including the Rotary Club of Broome in Western Australia. Like many Club Websites, this Website is, from a functionality and design perspective, quite simple. This simplicity however is good as the content on the Site then gets the attention it deserves.
The Rotary Club of Salisbury
The Rotary Club of Salisbury in Queensland, Australia uses the popular free Atahualpa WordPress Theme which is nearing a million downloads.
This Website has alot of information available for visitors including an Event Calendar. A particular strength of this Site is the excellent cross-linking between content.
