ShareThis Makes Sharing More Simple

ShareThis, the social bookmarking and sharing service, is making huge headway as one of the market leaders.

New ShareThis Widget

In the past few days ShareThis has launched a more relevant and user friendly widget (in Beta only for now). The widget is clean, quick and simple to use.

I use mixx quite a bit as a sharing service and it’s frustrating with other sharing services (e.g. AddThis and tell a Friend) that one needs to click multiple tabs or have a new window open to be able to share with Mixx. The new ShareThis widget is configurable as to what services appear. If other sites are required that don’t appear on the first page then the additional ones appear in the original  ‘drop-down’ with a simple scroll down.

Newsletter

ShareThis is showing that it is taking the data it collects seriously. This week saw the launch of ‘Connecting the Dots‘, the first ShareThis newsletter. As mentioned in this post, data from the sharing services are showing that email is still the preferred method of sharing. So well done to ShareThis on acting on this important information and using email as a marketing tool.
