Firefox is more Popular than Internet Explorer
Whilst looking at the visitors to my site last week I noticed an anomaly; by far the most visits were using Firefox. Normally Internet
Explorer (IE) constitutes the vast majority of browser visits (most sites experience more visits from IE rather than Firefox). What is different with the week in question to others is that most visits originated from reddit. The logical conclusion is therefore that reddit users who accessed my site are more prone to be using Firefox than IE, Safari, Chrome or other Internet browsers.
Below is a chart showing the proportion of visits by browser based on over 11,000 visits last week (thanks to Google Analytics):
| Browser | Visits |
1. | Firefox | 66% |
2. | Internet Explorer | 11% |
3. | Safari | 9% |
4. | Chrome | 8% |
5. | Opera | 3% |
6. | Mozilla | 1% |
7. | Mozilla Compatible Agent | 1% |
8. | Camino | 0.3% |
9. | Konqueror | 0.1% |
10. | SeaMonkey | 0.04% |
