Happy Chanukah links
The eight day festival of lights is upon us (Chanukah starts at sunset on December 11 and lasts until sunset, December 19 2009) and here are some excellent links to learn more about Chanukah (sometime spelled Hanukkah), the Jewish holiday:
Chabad.org has a very good interactive site for kids. Topics include Chanukah stories, songs, games, recipes and more.
Judaism 101 doesn’t have the best designed Website around but makes up for this with its great content. The Chanukah page includes information divided into categories such as Stories, Tradition and Music.
My Jewish Learning is a well designed Site which is easy to navigate and is packed with interesting information. A Blog is included. Nice!
Chanukah Blogs
Besides the informational Chanukah Blogs there are some interesting Blog posts this year. Some examples:
Hot on the heels of the 2009 Copenhagen Climate Conference is 5 Eco-Friendly Hanukkah Menorahs which shows five beautiful menorahs made from recycled material.
Kelly Rudnicki has a very good website with recipes for those with allergies. This Chanukah she has posted an interesting looking Dairy, Egg and Nut Free Rugelach and Hanukkah Sugar Cookies w/ Homemade Blue Sugar.
The Ghetto Shul looks like they’ll be having a tonne of fun with their Hawaiian Hannuhah.
