RIP MyBlogLog
The world didn’t end on the 21 May 2011 as anticipated by some! Tomorrow (24th May) also is unlikely to be the end of 
the world however it is significant in the Blog world; Yahoo’s service called MyBlogLog will cease operation (it’s been on the cards for a long time)!
I had been using MyBlogLog for years and absolutely loved it. Most useful was their free stats where a very quick snapshot of Website analytics could be attained that showed Readers, Page views and Offsite clicks. It was certainly my choice for checking analytics daily (I’d then use Google Analytics for more thorough and in-depth Website analytics).
The following notice appears on the MyBlogLog Home Page:
MyBlogLog will no longer be in service from 24 May 2011. We recommend Yahoo! Pulse as a service for you to see all your social updates from your favorite networks in one place.
With Yahoo! Pulse, you can create your own identity on Yahoo! and you can easily connect and engage with the people, content, and applications that matter to you, wherever you are on Yahoo!.

Unfortunately, as far as I can tell, Yahoo! Pulse doesn’t have the quick analytics that made MyBlogLog so awesome. I therefore will probably stick to my current Social Media favorites of Twitter and Google Buzz and Google Analytics for Website analytics.
P.S. Some other amazing services that have recently been retired (or are offline) include; Mixx and Google Real Estate Search.
